ASYLUM SEEKERS AUSTRALIA, NINE BOATS IN FIVE WEEKS AND COUNTING

The latest boat carrying asylum seekers has reached Christmas Island and is reported to have already dropped anchor by the time the Navy arrived. The boat with 181 passengers aboard is the largest this year and the 9th to arrive in five weeks. Sen Chris Evans says the detention centre on Christmas island stll has further capacity.
